Group Class & Quartet Cancelled for Tomorrow

I will have to cancel both the Violin Group class and the Quartet II (Vivaldi) rehearsal for tomorrow, Saturday December 17, 2011.

The next Violin Group will take place on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 10 AM immediately followed by Quartet II rehearsal at 11 AM.

Group & Quartet Schedule: December 10 & 17, 2011

Our Quartets are off to a wonderful start this year!  I have decided to hold Quartet rehearsals every week, alternating Quartet I (Telemann) and Quartet II (Vivaldi) every other week at 11 AM.  Of course, our Violin Group classes will continue every single week at 10 AM.  Here is what the December updated schedule looks like:

December 10, 2011 (Saturday)

• 10 AM: The Violin Group
• 11 AM: Quartet I (Telemann)

December 17, 2011 (Saturday)

• 10 AM: The Violin Group
• 11 AM: Quartet II (Vivaldi)

If you have any questions about which Quartet you belong to, or are interested in joining in the fun, just send me an e-mail.  Remember to always bring any sheet music to Quartet rehearsals.

I would like to remind everyone of Loudoun Symphony's Holiday Spectacular Concert this Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 7:30 PM.  Tickets are still available and children under 12 are free.  Many of my students participate in the Loudoun Symphony Workshop that will be playing at 7:00 PM right before the Loudoun Symphony concert.  Come and cheer them on if you can!  Information about the concert is on the right side box of this blog.

December & January Schedule Updates

We are almost in December, and I wanted to share with you all the Studio schedule over the holiday period.

• December 3 (Saturday), 2011 - 10 AM  Violin Group / 11 AM Quartets I and II (please bring all sheet music)
• December 10 (Saturday), 2011 -  10 AM  Violin Group / 11 AM Book 1 Group
• Last day of lessons in 2011 will be December 22, 2011
• The Holiday Break will be from December 22 (Thursday), 2011 to January 4 (Wednesday), 2012.  There will be no lessons, groups or quartets held during the break
• The Winter Recital will be held on January 21, 2012 (Saturday) at 7 PM.

• 10 AM: The Violin Group
• 11 AM: Quartets I & II 

For those participating in the Quartets at 11 AM, please bring all Bach  Double parts, Telemann and Vivaldi
music (if you were in Quartet last year).

Group Schedule for Saturday, October 29, 2011 & More!

Here is the schedule for Group/Quartet this Saturday October 29, 2011:

• 10 am The Violin Group (multilevel)
• 11am Quartets I and II - Please bring Bach Double if you have it and also any previous quartet music you may have (i.e. Telemann or Vivaldi)

Teacher Work Days - November 7 and 8, 2011:
Please let me know if you do not want lessons on these days. I will be teaching the normal schedule unless you notify me. I can also schedule classes earlier in the day if you let me know now.

Christmas Concerts:
The McLean Orchestra and the Loudoun Symphony are holding holiday concerts that are wonderful for children.  Please see the Upcoming Concerts box on the right for more detailed information and links to websites for ticket purchase.  The Loudoun Symphony Holiday Spectacular, held in Ashburn, sells out quickly.  Don't miss out on this wonderful Christmas concert right in our back yard.  Get your tickets before they sell out!

October 22: Important Schedule Change

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not have access to the Church on Saturday Morning, October 22, 2011.  Here is my updated schedule:

October 22, 2011 (Saturday)

• 10 AM: The Violin Group CANCELLED (will be held next week as scheduled)
• 11 AM: Piano run through for recital POSTPONED UNTIL 6 PM
• 6 PM: Piano run through for recital
• 7 PM: Recital

The recital will be held as scheduled.  I am looking forward to a great evening of music!

Start of Group Classes: October 15th, 2011
